MSD project office

MSD d.o.o. is a project office whose main activity is the design of load-bearing structures in construction and the implementation of BIM technology (Building Information Modeling) in design. Our engineers, in addition to drafts of formwork and reinforcement, also prepare static calculations and perform design supervision and creation of rehabilitation projects for old buildings and buildings damaged by an earthquake.

The company was founded in 1994 in Zagreb, Croatia. The managing director and owner of the company is Dipl.Ing Igor Daničić.

We gained our respectable experience during the successful business for nearly three decades, operating almost exclusively in the foreign – German and Austrian markets.

We also cooperate with several Croatian design offices on the domestic market. We approach design analytically, where the construction and technological aspects of German construction are among the most demanding and advanced in the global construction sector. Each project is individual with different parameters that are given to us, thus our approach is to create new value, which requires continuous education of employees and monitoring of the latest trends in design.

On average, in one year we create 500+ drafts in A0 format, or approx. 4 projects per year, which depends on the size or complexity of them.

When creating projects, we use Autocad and the Nemetschek Allplan 2022 program.

We mainly use Nemetschek’s Allplan software package to create and process drawings, which allows us a BIM approach in designing, where we create a 3D model of the object according to the foundations and define the attributes of individual architectural elements: wall, column, beam, panel, opening, lintel, and staircase. The model modeled and prepared in this way represents the perfect basis for generating formwork drawings and reinforcement drawings. Also, in Allplan, we reinforce objects in 3D, which enables us to accurately and comprehensively print the quantities of materials from the 3D BIM model and automatically report the reinforcement.
